Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Connexus (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Age Requirement
You must be at least 17 years old to use Connexus. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If we discover that a user is under 17, we will remove their account.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure and not sharing them with anyone.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Providing accurate information when creating your account.
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account in the App.
4. Safety Disclaimer
Connexus does not verify users. We do not conduct background checks, identity verification, or criminal record checks on any user. You use the service and choose to meet other users entirely at your own risk.
Always exercise your own judgement when agreeing to meet someone in person. Meet in public places and let someone you trust know where you're going.
5. Meetups
Connexus helps coordinate meetups between friends but is not responsible for anything that happens during real-world meetings arranged through the App. We are a scheduling tool, not a venue, event organiser, or safety guarantor.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to use Connexus to:
- Abuse, harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm other users.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Scam or defraud other users.
- Send spam or unsolicited communications.
- Upload or share any illegal, obscene, or harmful content.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.
- Use the App for any illegal purpose.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
7. Reporting
You can report or block users within the App. We may take action on reports — including warning, suspending, or removing accounts — but we do not guarantee specific response times or outcomes. We reserve the right to make final decisions on all reports.
8. Data & Privacy
We collect limited data to operate the App. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and trademarks within the App are owned by or licensed to Connexus. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.
You retain ownership of any content you create and share through the App (such as your profile information and notes). By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to store and display that content to operate the service.
10. Disclaimers & Liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your requirements.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Connexus and its operators are not liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
- Any harm, loss, or incident occurring during or resulting from real-world meetups arranged via the App.
- Any loss of data or access to the service.
11. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms — we will notify you of material changes via the App or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
